Bridgewater, NJ - Our client was the owner of a condominium in Bridgewater. On his way to work, early one February morning in 2014, he was walking in the parking lot of his development when he slipped and fell on black ice. Our client suffered a horrific fracture to his leg which required multiple surgeries to repair. The Condominium Association, Management Company, and Snow Removal Company refused to settle the case. Our office filed suit and hired a liability and weather expert to help prove that the defendants failed to act in a reasonable manner to prevent the formation of the black ice that caused our client to fall. The defendant’s filed a motion to dismiss our case which our office successfully defeated based on the opinion of our liability experts. The case settled as a result of an intensive Settlement Conference with a Judge in Somerset County just prior to trial which included the recover of his lost wages and medical bills that were not paid.
