Hiring the right lawyer is often confusing. The first step to finding a good lawyer is to know your case. After all, if you do not know the specifics of your case, you can’t expect a lawyer to know it. Second, gather the names of potential lawyers. Third, interview them to find out what they know about personal injury law. Don’t forget that having a “million” dollar settlement doesn’t always mean that...you must ask “what were the injuries”, “did the lawyer try the case or not.” Finally, find out if the lawyer actually handles the case or shifts it to a paralegal or secretary. It makes no sense to entrust your case to someone who really isn’t interested in handling it.
