A three-car crash that sent three people to the hospital, was casued by a drunk driver after he tried merging onto Route 80 east from Route 202 in Parsippany late Saturday, according ot the New Jersey State Police.
Three people complained of head and neck pain and were transported to St. Clare's Hospital in Denville via the Parsippany first-aid squad with minor injuries.
Four people in one of the vehicles refused medical treatment while three in another car, whose doors were jammed shut in the accident. The intoxicated driver wasn't hurt. The accident caused authorities to shut down the left and center lanes, backing up traffic for more than an hour, according to the State Police.
