A teen in Hillsborough had passed away after getting punched in the head by another teen, officials released.
Jared Colon, a 17 year old, had just gotten into an argument with another teen before getting punched in the head. The Somerset County Prosecutor’s office stated that the other teen is currently in the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center and is being charged for second-degree reckless manslaughter.
The Hillsborough Township Police responded to a medical call over the weekend in the evening and found Colon suffering a head injury. Colon was immediately airlifted and sent to Robert Wood Johnson University for emergency treatment.
Colon was active in the wildlife, he enjoyed fishing, dirt biking, and riding squads.
No further information was given on the suspect’s trial.
While the suspect is charged for second-degree reckless manslaughter, do you think the Colon family should pursue their own civil trial? Comment below!
