A Sayreville woman was killed Tuesday night. Her car crossed a double-yellow line and collided with a pickup truck head-on, police stated today.
The woman was driving her 1997 Nissan Sentra southbound on Cranbury Road when the car crossed the double yellow line in the area just north of Davidson Mill Road. A Pennsylvania driver in a 2001 Dodge Ram was traveling in the other direction, and hit the Sentra head-on at 10:50 p.m., police said.
The Sentra driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Dodge Ram driver was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
