Paramus, NJ - Just before Thanksgiving 2016, a New York woman was driving her SUV in the Paramus Target parking lot when one of the iconic red bollard balls, came loose and struck her car. The rolling red ball detached from the pavement after it was struck by a passing pickup truck, at which point it started rolling into traffic, when it struck her car, then continued to roll away before a good samaritan jumped out of his car to stop it. The entire scene was caught on camera, available here. The owner of the SUV contacted Target's insurance company to cover the damages to her vehicle, and was denied. She is now headed to small claims court.
